Local places make ‘top ten places’ list
TOP TEN: Locks Well Beach was named as the number one place to visit on Brand SA's list of places to visit while the weather is still nice.
THE Eyre Peninsula has featured prominently in a list named of Top Ten Places to Visit in South Australia (while the weather is still playing nice).
The list compiled by Brand SA promotes Locks Well Beach, Talia and Fishery Bay joining places like Lake Eyre and Umpherston Sinkhole at Mount Gambier.
Locks Well Beach on the West Coast is number one on the list and has been spruiked as one of the most reliable locations in the state for catching salmon.
The list says the “lookout with panoramic views of the beautiful rugged coastline” provides the perfect opportunity to “capture a stunning west coast sunset”.
In at number five on the list is another West Coast gem, Talia.
It is Talia’s granite cliffs, rock fishing, fossils and its beautiful turquoise coloured ocean which see it ranked so high on the list.
Lower Eyre Peninsula had not been missed either with Fishery Bay coming in at number six.
